Fremont, CA San Francisco Bay Area Indian Wedding Photographer: Sim & Gill: Wedding Part I

It’s finally here! Yes, after many many hours of editing (and there’s more to edit still…!), lots of cups of coffee, and of course, staying up to wee hours… I’m pleased to present the Wedding of Sim & Gill – Part I. For those that attended, it was a truly amazing event – epic really. Absolutely full of dazzling colors, detail, and at the center of it all, a beautiful couple declaring their love for each other in front of friends and family. And beautiful is really an understatement! Sim’s makeup, mehndi, and lehenga were just gorgeous – she looked stunning (as you’ll soon see!)!

From the bride and groom preparations, to the baraat, ceremony, vidai, and culminating in a spectacular reception, this was certainly a day to remember. So many beautiful moments and plenty of action too! Oh, yes indeed! I’ll let the images do the rest of the talking (or at least most of it). Thank you both for letting us capture your wedding day. We absolutely loved working with you and can’t wait to show you more. For now, enjoy your first wedding sneak peek at a few of the first half highlights, and stay tuned for the finale next week!

I decided to start with one of my favorite images from the day – the bride looked simply stunning! LOVE the details!

You’ll notice here that the bride did her mother’s makeup – quite touching!

I had a chance to steel the bride for a few quick images outside of the Gurdwara. Since we couldn’t let the groom and his family see her before the ceremony, we had to stay near the back of the building/parking lot. The background scenery wasn’t the best, but the bride was just gorgeous and so was the lighting! And there was our shot!

While the bride was getting ready in Mountain House, the groom was also getting ready with family in Union City.

Tying the turban just looks super cool! I love this one!

And it was on to the Fremont Gurdwara for the ceremony.

I can’t help it… I see babies at weddings and I just have to photograph them! =]  For those that don’t know, I started out as a photographer photographing babies… and still do! Check out those eyes!

Things got pretty exciting when both families met in front of the Gurdwara!

But before the groom can enter the Gurdwara, he’ll have to get past the bride’s cousins! And that will require some cash… someone did bring some cash, right?!

I love this one – the bride’s parents congratulate and hug the newly married couple!

And then the hugs and celebration begin!

Much much more to come!
