Sacramento Bay Area Wedding Photographer | Raman & Paramveer Sikh Wedding Ceremony Part I

I first met Paramveer almost 2 and a half years earlier when we photographed his sister’s beautiful wedding in Sacramento. It was great to see so many familiar faces again and of course, celebrate the wedding of an absolutely wonderful couple: Raman & Paramveer! For starters, they are among the nicest couples you’ll ever meet. I knew that was true as soon as I met them in person for the first time to go over the details for their pre-wedding shoot last summer. I loved their ideas and the shoot was incredible, incorporating some cool ideas about traditional Sikh culture! I knew their wedding was going to be amazing!

Amazing it certainly was! Raman wore an absolutely stunning gold and pink Lengha, decorated with beautiful gold, pink, and white jewel accents. Paramveer handsomly matched her with his gold Sherwani (jacket) and pink turban and chunni. There were so many beautiful colors throughout the day, it was truly a feast for the eyes! But don’t just take my word for it – have a look yourself at this gorgeous couple! This post features the bride and groom preparations, the groom’s baraat, and the beginning of their beautiful ceremony at the Sacramento Sikh Gurdwara. And we’re just getting started here – I’ve got more from the ceremony and couple photo shoot coming soon, and of course, their jaw-dropping reception the following day!

Congratulations to both of you! We are honored to have had the opportunity to photograph your beautiful wedding and can’t wait to show more! Enjoy the sneak peek! One last image – a teaser from their couple photo shoot! More coming soon!

  1. […] Raman’s uncle gives the bride to the groom as he hands her the end of the groom’s sash. Before entering the bride’s home, the groom will first need to do some negotiating. Of course, having plenty of cash on hand certainly helps! At last, the scissors to cut the ribbon! There is always a lot of emotion when the bride leaves her family’s home to join the groom. Then it was time for some post-wedding games at the groom’s home! You can also view Part I here […]
